ok so I turned logging on and the same thing that happened to the other guys is happening to me also. It reported...

I'm using version 2.3.0b now :D
I'm getting this error when trying to open the gore menu:

What does that mean?

This is strange, are you playing on a single player listen server with bots ?

Hey,

im encountering the same prob as hias: im also getting that "Max Players not set" message when trying to open the menu.

My conf is:
Linux dedicated server
Mani-Mod V1.1.0zh installed
Matti's Event Script installed (for say-sounds)
Meta Mod 1.2
and of course, the most recent Gore Mod ;-)

I followed all the tutorials / manuals closely action4

a "meta list" shows that gore mod has been loaded / is running without any probs ?

@jay: no, max_players is set to 32 at the moment.
anyways, neither reducing nor increasing that number had any effect at all.

No, mine is also a 32 slots server. Changing the max. players limit doesn't have any effect :(

I have the following things installed:
Mani Admin Plugin 1.2BetaG
Matti's Event Script
Meta Mod : Source 1.2
GoreMod 2.3.0b (will update to 2.3.1b in a minute ;) )

I too am having probs with gore mod menu. It just keeps saying the player cannot be found. I have tried it without the quotes and with. The same thing each time "cannot find player". Tried reloading gore mod and restarting server multiple times nothing is making it work. Getting weird video probs on headshots and explosions. Guns dissapearing at start of round and such. They reappear after a sec or two but still should not be happening.
I also want to add that we are also seeing the c4 explosions causing peeps to explode even when they are far away it is like you cant get away.

The exploding thing is a bug I will be addressing soon. The menu bug was fixed a couple of version ago, are you POSITIVE you are using the entire steam id?
