Source Engine and Metamod:Source update

Post by Games »

There was a Source Engine update yesterday and with that update people were experiencing problems running the Mani Admin Plugin and Metamod:Source.

When pressing the admin menu and choosing a submenu, the menu disappeared and the following console command was seen in your console:
Netchannel: failed processing message svc_Sounds.
Fragment transmission aborted at 1/1.

To fix those problems update your Metamod:Source version to the lastest version. (V 1.2.2)
And update your server using hldsupdatetool or if you rented your server use your controlpanel or contact your server host.

***UPDATE*** Now there's also a new version of Mani Admin Plugin

Most likely you have to edit the "gameinfo.txt", because the line for sourcemm is removed, so you have to re-add this line back.

GameBin |gameinfo_path|addons/metamod/bin

Also if people are walking faster than normal on your server put: sv_accelerate 5 in your server.cfg.
Because of the lastest Source Engine update it was put on 10.
